High Lifter Proving Grounds
High Lifter Proving Grounds is a 574-acre commercial OHV park operated directly by High Lifter Products (the aftermarket manufacturer behind many of the industry's most recognized mud-riding lift kits, portals, and accessories), in Keithville, southwest of Shreveport in the Caddo-Desoto County area of northwestern Louisiana. The park's manufacturer backing is not incidental to its character: the Proving Grounds was built to do exactly what its name implies: stress-test machines, accessories, and rider capability in the kind of sustained mud-terrain environment that separates purpose-built equipment from stock builds. The 25+ miles of purpose-designed trails include engineered mud pits of calibrated depth and width, standing water ponds for submersion runs, motocross sections for high-speed skill testing, and looping trail corridors through the Louisiana bottomland forest that provide trail riding between the terrain features. Alternative go-around routes are included alongside the most extreme sections, making the park accessible to riders with less-modified stock vehicles who want to watch the serious builds in action without being stranded in conditions that exceed their machine's capability. Entry runs approximately $20/person. The High Lifter brand backing lends the park credibility and draw from across Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and the broader Gulf South, riders who follow the brand as customers come to the Proving Grounds to see the equipment in action (check website for current schedule).
